Today I thought I would run like any other. But after three steps I felt some tightness in my back. I kept on jogging nice and easy because it was my warmup. I figured it would loosen up after 1 or 2 miles and I would be able to stretch and do my 1 mile test. I was wrong. The pain gradually increased and after a mile I stopped and walked 1/2 mile. I jogged another 1/4 mile and I knew I couldn't do any more, so I walked another mile. Disappointing.
I spent almost 4 straight hours this morning at my desk feverishly editing a proposal. I didn't take enough breaks to get up and stretch. But I didn't feel any pain at the time either. It's not major back pain because I can't feel it except when I'm running. Hopefully it will be short lived.
